Outside Lands is still making me super angsty. You think I would be happy with going to Coachella for the 4th time, but no I have to act like a spoiled brat. I can't help that the only NorCal performances of Dead Weather and Bat For Lashes are there. Sad sad sad.

BUT

This weekend in Santa Cruz was amazing. It's currently pretty damn warm here in San Jose, but in Santa Cruz it was overcast grey without being cold, and misting for most of the time. It was like being enveloped in a cloud for the last couple days and I loved it.

The first night we were there Rachel showed me the gazebo and we watched the moon rise as it turned from almost a blood red to that lovely orange-yellow color. It had been way too long since I had seen and smelt the ocean and I am very grateful for it.

The next day it that water was too cold to swim, but we went to the tide pools. There were pretty shells, a hermit crab.and  I touched a sea anemone. There was also a crab the size of my hand and I was hit by a particularly large wave as I was taking his picture with Rachel's camera.

A couple hours later we went swimming in the pool (yay heated) and then went into the hot tub after wards. Ugh, I wish I could go swimming right now.

That night we considered going to the boardwalk, but instead Rachel and I watched Pretty Woman and painted our nails before eating huge slices of angel food cake covered in whipped cream and sliced strawberries with a bit of sugar. It was very good and I have always loved that movie. I have a weakness for Julia Roberts :D

Obviously Rachel and I need to become hookers in Hollywood and wait for an attractive and ridiculously wealthy man to come sweep us off our feet.

The next day we went down to the pond and fed the two female swans they have living there. We decided they are a glorious lesbian couple that go by the names Swaney 1 and Swaney 2. They seemed to enjoy the dried french bread from the night before. It was a bit more difficult to feed the ducks since they seemed very intimidated by the Swaneys, but I managed to get them a few pieces while Rachel distracted the swans.

The drive back was calm and sweet. I love the Santa Cruz mountains so much. The trees are so beautiful.
I need to go back there soon >.<

I plan on posting photos once Rachel uploads them!

July is almost over and with that it almost seems that I can taste the fall, and I shall do my best to enjoy this last month of the summer. This month seemed to go buy quickly and I'm glad that my birthday ended up as enjoyable as it was. Very convenient that HP6 came out the day after so Rachel and I could go to the midnight showing as a part of my birthday celebration. We also ended up going downtown for lunch and I saw Autumn for the first time since January, but I wish I could have been in a better state of mind for the two or so hours that we were all together. I really need to call her up to arrange something so we can really talk about things.

I've been listening to a lot of new music and getting a couple more cds every few days. It's beautiful to see these new sounds replacing old ones on my iPod while I do my best to keep the albums that I can't imagine not having immediately at hand. I'm getting the rest of Patrick Wolf's discography at the moment and I'm really excited for that :D.

Also, when I say new music, they are not new releases, it's music that I haven't gotten to listen to beforehand. For example: PJ Harvey's Dry. The album is amazing and it just increases my love for Ms. Polly Jean that much more. I have been meaning to get that CD for the past 4 years, but I actually prefer that I've only just gotten to experience it now.

Seeing Barret yesterday with Ashlynn was great. I can't believe how much he's changed since I last saw him...what...over two years ago I think? I met this ridiculous boy in middle school when he was this uptight, sligthly pudgy, super Christian with frosted tips, and now he's seemed to have really grown. He's almost the complete opposite actually. Slimmed down, tousled brown hair, and finally comfortably out of the closet. He's still ridiculous and still has faith in whatever inspires him during this phase in his life (crystals and astrology at the moment), but of course we love him for all of that ♥  . Bahaha, he asked me if Marina was a lesbian.

Right when I had gotten home from seeing them I called Rachel and we talk for 15 minutes or so about Barret and plan on going out tonight.

Blah, I can't believe I haven't seen her since my birthday on the 14th D:

 Tired tired tired.

I haven't been up to much these past few days which is completely fine considering how I'm feeling. Last week was a bit sad, but it was nice to spend time with Amber despite her choice of profession, but she IS making a lot of money (not that it excuses anything of course).

We went over there on Thursday to go swimming, but ended up just laying about her room for an hour or so. Mom was on Amber laptop doing her silly stuff while Amber watched television and I doodled in Amber's notebook with sharpies. Since the sister wasn't feeling well Mother gave her a vicodin and when I asked for it, handed me one also. It definitely made sitting around that much more tolerable especially with the shot of rum I took when the other two weren't in the room. I know, I know, I'm not really proud of it, but what can you do.

Amber was saying how she needed to go shopping so we crossed the street and ended up going into this quaint little store that sold locally crafted goods that were very pretty and well done.

My sister was insisting that I pick something, but I felt guilty about spending her money as she told me she was going to buy me some earrings whether I wanted her to or not. A while later she spotted me eyeing a pretty scarf and said she was going to buy that too and when she told me she had over $1,100 in cash on her I laughed and told her she could buy me whatever she wanted. Amber smiled and told me how we still had to go to Ross and how she's always wanted to be able to get me a nice birthday gift and now she easily could.

Once we finally entered Ross we ended up spending a few hours there. Most of the time we weren't with each other and I ended up getting some rather nice things. It's definitely been over a year since I've gone to a store to purchase some clothes so that was actually really nice. A couple pretty dresses and shirts that ended up being less than 50 bucks( yay :D).

After we were finally finished we ended up going to the  grocery store next door and got some things for dinner and decided we would spend the night. Mmm, pizza. I ended up not being able to sleep very well and it wasn't until around 5 in the morning that I actual fell asleep without waking up 20 minutes later. I don't exactly know what it was that kept me feeling so restless. I just wish I could have spoken to Samuel and maybe I would have gotten some rest.

I need to get back to the house the next morning since Sean was coming over and I had forgotten to call for a ride so I just ended up walking home ( it was only around 3 miles) while carrying the bag of clothes. I felt a bit bitchy about the whole thing, but after I few minutes I genuinely enjoyed the walk. It was overcast at first, but as the minutes passed the sun seemed to burn them away and it was just another beautiful summer day.

Sean's visit went fine with some less than pleasant moments, but what can one REALLY expect when trying to stay friends after an almost 3 year relationship? Everything just seems easier in the evening.

So it is finally the day of the elections and I'm pretty much terrified. ajfnskjdfndfg.
We'll see how everything turns out.

I got to vote for the very first time today and it WAS really cool to finally be able to.

WRATH IS OUT IN LIKE A WEEK OMFG!

Yes, I am terribly excited for it. I need to still farm so much rep and gold though it's dumb :(
I want that giant 20k gold mammoth mount so bad, bwuahha.

I've been playing WoW quite a bit lately and I finally got to go to BT which was really awesome.
Yeah, I know, the nerf, but whatever :D

I start school in about 4 hours....POLI1 and Intro to Sociology today, lets hope it's all right.

I had my first weekend at work and they put me on register first thing. My first night I was really worried about being under, but I ended up being $1.50 over, rofl. The second night I came out even so that was a relief.

Since I finally started work I ended up not being able to go to the Treasure Island Music Festival which was rather upsetting :(. I missed The Raconteurs and The Kills >.<. It would have been nice to see Tegan and Sara too.  Puppy ended up going to it instead with Chuckie, sigh. My mom and Amber went the night before when Justice was playing and they recorded a little video of it and sent it to Sean, ha.

I'm going to miss Jenny Lewis too since Rachel and I couldn't manage to snag tickets. Concerts for the next few months aren't looking so great :|. I am so excited for Coachella 2009. The line-up wont even be announced till January, but I still just can't wait. I'm really hoping Rachel can come with this time since I know she would love it and have an amazing time.

Well, since school does start today I went and got all my textbooks yesterday. All the books came to about 258 dollars. And that's when they were bought used -__-.

Since I'm working now and going to school I'm not going to have ANY time for raiding which is a bit annoying. Hell, I missed SSC and ZA this weekend already because of it, but I know that work and school is MUCH more important. I STILL haven't pre-ordered WotLK though which is aggravating me to no end, argh! I can't waaait for it to released though.

Aaron! <3 I miss youu.
I hope everything is going well and that life in Germany is amazing and awesome.

I finished registering for school (De Anza, woo!) and I start on the 22. I'm taking four classes: Intro to Sociology, EWRT-1A, HIST 19A: History of Asian Civilization: China and Japan (through the 18th Century), annnd American Government and Politics.  I'm actually really excited to go to school andl I think I really might major in Political Science. It takes a hour and a half each way on the bus to get there >.<

I've been hanging out with Sean a bit and with my friend Rachel. Oh I wish you could have met her...I love her so much. She's been like my other half since 8th grade. We actually have Sociology together so that should be plenty of fun.

I started playing WOW a little bit and I've been hanging out with Peter and Aurius mostly. They're both planning on leaving the server soon along with Neftos :( I joined Slayers of the Majestic and they let me stay after the guild leader said something rather interesting to me "So I've heard you have caused some drama in your last two guilds and whether or not that is true I want to make sure it doesn't happen here"

And after I assured him it wouldn't he said welcome blah blah blah. I got to go to TK with them and down Voider Reaver and then we went to SSC and downed Lurker :DDD. I didn't get any loot but it was so fun going even if I'm not very good since I'm getting used to being BM.

Alsooo I got Mojo in ZA :DDD. Sadly, there was a special pet (a Chinese dragon!) being given out during the olympics and I started playing 3 days after it was finished so I'll never be able to get it. I was so pissed >:O

I know I'm going to have next to no time to play once school starts and I'm working, but it's fun for these next few days xD

I really wish you were still playing, but I'm glad we are both doing things that are much more worthy of our time.\   I WANT TO KNOW EVERY DETAIL OF YOUR LIFE.

So write back soon. much love, hearts, candy, and butterflies
<3 Elora

P.S. California misses you :(

Hung out with Crystal Marie Smith today.
I missed her, and I'll be sad when she goes back to BYU.

She called randomly this morning and told me she was outside my house.
I didn't even know she was going to be in the area!

There was a little dead frog in her pond and it was all gray and bloated.
I felt so bad for it. D:

So everything worked out and I did end up hanging out with Rachel. Got to the drive-in at about 8ish and paid to see Pineapple Express. We watched maybe 20 minutes worth of it. Her radio was whacked out and while you could hear the movie there was also a back round fuzzy noise that was beyond irritating. I feel that if that back round noise had not been there I would have liked the movie, but instead Rachel and I just talked which I actually preferred anyway.

Hancock played after that and watched some of that. I cannot believe how misleading the trailers for that movie were. I sort of liked the story, it was bittersweet.

I definitely do not see Rachel enough and she's going to Oregon for a week on Saturday :(. First Sean and now her...well at least Sean should be back soon .

We ended up driving from the theater to her place so I could see it and it is WAY East side. I had no idea it was so far from me :O.
After that we drove towards my house and half way there some guy tried to get a drag race but we weren't having any of that. Then we decided that Walgreen's would be a fun place to go since it was one in the morning and everything else was closed. Ended buying some chocolate (Rasinettes, yum) and then finally dropped me off at home and I went to bed after almost passing out on the couch.

After talking for pretty much 6 hours straight I realized how much I've missed having Rachel since she moved to Oklahoma 5 years ago. Thank goodness she moved back here.

I really hope we can get together more often.
I love her very much.

I just have to say that I am so very happy that I never continued to read that series.  And it is it wrong that the horrible ending to BD and all the awful reviews made me happy? :x

I remember reading the first book and later on I wondered if I had IMAGINED and somehow misread that S. Meyer made the vampires SPARKLE. lkjasnfjsnkgjdnfkgjn. not cool.  And I remember returning the book to my friend Ashley...

Ashley: "So did you like it?"
Me: "Meh, it was all right."
me thinking : arghhh I want those minutes of my life back D:

And then a bit later she told me there was a sequel...and all I could think was WHHY?

I didn't even know the series was so popular until all the hype about BD was EVERYWHERE. and then the comparison to HP.  ARGH WTF BITCH DIE.

I think it is a bit sad that I know as much about the series as I do :(

Also  I know that I will read the series because as much as I generally dislike the series I love vampires.  I plan on exchanging some of my vampire chronicle books for the twilight series since a friend of my brother is interested in em. old school Anne Rice FTW.

I hope she likes them :D.
